Here is a partial list of what Mike has done so
far:
1.) Volunteering for the Healing Field/Field of
Memories
2.) Initiating the Save Abandoned Babies
awareness in Lake County
3.) Volunteer first aider at Ron Santo’s JDRF
walkathon
4.) Director of the Child Protection team of
Lake County
5.) Invitee to the Plenary session for Child
Sexual abuse by Lake County states attorney
Fred Foreman
6.) Served on Committee with juvenile division
of States Attorney’s office, DCFS and the
Children’s Advocacy Center in Waukegan (now
moved to Gurnee). Through this committee Mike has
met most of the current judges in Lake County
while they were attorneys in the juvenile division (which
is the step before felony division, then to
private practice or judgeship).
7.) School board member for St. Patrick’s
Parish School and an executive officer for the Parents Club at Carmel Catholic High School
8.) Committee member with former coroner
Barbara Richardson in death investigations for
child abuse
9.) Volunteer for Boy Scouts of America
10.) Volunteer for GSUSA (Yes, men can
be members of Girl Scouts)
11.) Participant in several fundraisers for Lake
County hospitals including St Therese Medical
Center and Condell
12.) Developed websites for his mother,
medical students, the Breakfast Exchange Club of Gurnee, and this
campaign website. In the National Exchange Club’s organization, Mike won the national
award for best club website in the 2006
competition with 800 other clubs. Also the best
newsletter for 2006 in a similar competition
